THE SHARK FINN

The Shark Finn is located in Patagonia, Chile. This stunning feature sits at the head of the French Valley in Torres del Paine National Park. This amazing granite feature gives climbers a view of the French Valley from above. This route is rated Patagonia Grade6 5.8. Our experience of more than 10 years climbing in the mountains of Patagonia have taught us the best way to do summit, unlike other expeditions we believe that it is more necessary to perform an alpine climbing where we can have a small window which will take advantage of the better way, than to spend our energies in being 1 week or more waiting for the good weather. Senoret Brothers also has insider information to have more accurate forecasts as we work with professional meteorologists to ensure a good experience especially in Patagonia, known for its strong winds and difficult conditions.

Itinerary

Day 1

The first day of our trip will lead us to Campamento Británico, located on the boundaries between the forest and the moraine deep into the French Valley. We will take catamaran across the beautiful lakes of Torres Del Paine to a refuge. From the refuge we will hike to base camp. From base camp we will get ready for our attempt to the south face of the peak.

Day 2

The following day we will approach to the base of the wall carrying some of the gear we will need for the climb, it will give you a first impression of the climb itself. By hiking to the base of the feature you can gain valuable experience with the wilderness of Patagonia.

Day 3 - 4 (backup day)

These 2 days will be our best chances to perform the ascent and descent is why we leave 2 days to have more flexibility in any scenario, always with the motivation high for these adventures.
After celebrating the magic of the climb we’ll hike back to Campamento Paine Grande, where the catamaran will be waiting for us to return back to Puerto Natales if the plan indicates or if we go through the Towers of Paine in this opportunity to ascend some of them .

Next day 05

Drive back to Punta Natales . End of expedition and celebration dinner.
